My question is, if you've had two beta readers go over your story and tell you it's fine, but you still don't like it, should you post it or just let it rot away on your hard drive?

What is it I don't like about it? Do I think the plot doesn't work or do I think the wordsmithing is uninspired? Is the issue something betareading expressly addresses, like clarity of expression and the mechanics of language, or is it something less tangible? Is it that they get the story, but I'm still not sure it comes across? I'd post it, and find out if they're right and I'm wrong. I write to be read.

Sorry, I replied before and hit "send" just as my internet disconnected.

I was saying, in the case I'm thinking of, uninspired is the right word. I've tweaked and tweaked it. I'm going to go ahead and post, though. Two intelligent women have told me it's okay, so I'm sure at least I won't embarrass myself too badly :)
